Important information for receiving goods

Most shipping services do not include carrier assistance. The driver will come with the necessary equipment to transport your goods from truck or van to the lot border. Carrying assistance into, for example, stairs, elevators or other places at the address is usually not included. In case of need of carrying assistance, it is recommended to plan and arrange it yourself.
If your location, such as a basement room, may be difficult to find for the driver, make sure there are clear signs and instructions when the driver arrives.
Two options for being contacted when delivering to companies are Notification and Delivery Notification. Notification means that the carrier and the consignee jointly book the time and day of delivery. Delivery notification means that the driver calls approximately 30 minutes before delivery. These options must be booked by the person ordering the freight.
It is the shipper who has booked the freight that decides which service is used. The services may vary between shipping companies and the person booking the freight. In case of uncertainty, please contact the shipper or the person who ordered the shipment for confirmation regarding the type of delivery you can expect.
When you receive your shipment, start by inspecting the outer packaging. When detecting damage to the outer packaging, note the word “damage” at the signing.
Document with pictures and possibly a film from the outer packaging to the contents. Save the packaging until the complaint is completed. If you find that the content is damaged, first contact the company where you ordered the goods. The freight requester, in turn, must inform the shipping company if it occurred.
