You who expect a delivery - please read this!

When it comes time to receive your shipment, there are some important points to keep in mind. Regardless of which shipping company is responsible for the delivery, it is wise to be aware of the following aspects.

Delivery does not include carrying aid

Most shipping services do not include carrying assistance. This means that the driver brings the necessary tools to unload your goods from the truck or van at the plot boundary. If help is needed to transport the goods into stairs, lifts or to other places at your address, it is a good idea to prepare and arrange this yourself.

Assist the driver to find the right one

If your location, such as a basement location, is difficult to find, it can be challenging for the driver. Make sure there are clear signs and instructions when the driver arrives.

Be contacted in connection with the delivery

There are two options for being contacted when delivering to companies: Notification and Delivery Notice. Notification means that the carrier and recipient jointly book a time and day for delivery. Delivery notification means that the driver calls approximately 30 minutes before the delivery. These options are booked by the person who ordered the shipping.

Parcel box, delivery point or home delivery

It is the sender who has booked the shipment who decides which service is used. The shipping services may vary between different shipping companies and with the person who has booked the shipping. If in doubt, contact the sender or whoever booked the shipment, who should be able to confirm the type of delivery you can expect.

Check for damage

Before you sign for the goods, start by inspecting the outer packaging. If you find damage to the outer packaging, note the word "damage" when you sign.

If the content is damaged

Document with pictures and any film from the outer packaging to the contents. Save the packaging until the complaint case has been completed. If you discover damage to the contents, contact the company from which you ordered the goods. It is the freight orderer who must inform the freight company of what has happened.

Will my package arrive on time?

Domestic shipping usually takes 1-2 days, but situations may arise along the way, e.g. bad weather, traffic accidents or heavy traffic, which cause it to be delayed. With the tracking, you can see the estimated delivery date.

Where can I find the tracking number?

The freight booker receives the consignment number when the booking is made. It is then possible to send the tracking number to the recipient. If you have not received anything, contact the customer or the sender first.
