What is a Euro pallet?
A Euro pallet, also called a EUR pallet, is a standardised wooden load carrier used to transport and store goods. This format is common in European trade and distribution.
Euro pallet dimensions and markings
A Euro pallet has standard dimensions of 1,200 × 800 mm. Dimensions alone do not establish whether a pallet is a standardised EUR pallet. Construction, quality and the correct markings under the applicable standard also matter. Check the pallet markings and the supplier’s specifications.
A Euro pallet’s own weight depends on factors such as its construction, condition and moisture content. Weigh the complete shipment before booking.
How does it differ from a half pallet or one-way pallet?
A half pallet commonly measures 800 × 600 mm, giving it half the footprint. A one-way pallet may have the same dimensions as a Euro pallet without meeting the EUR pallet standard for construction and quality.
What should you enter when booking freight?
Enter the shipment’s total length, width and height, including the pallet, goods and packaging, and its total weight. The pallet’s footprint alone does not describe the complete shipment. Read more about pallet dimensions and measurement.
