Half pallet

A half pallet commonly measures 800 × 600 mm. Learn about its uses, differences in construction and the dimensions and weight needed for freight booking.

What is a half pallet?

A half pallet is a load carrier in a smaller format than a full-size pallet. It commonly measures 800 × 600 mm, giving it half the footprint of a 1,200 × 800 mm Euro pallet/EUR pallet.

Half pallet dimensions and characteristics

Half pallet primarily describes a format. Half pallets do not all follow the same standard or construction. They may, for example, be made of wood or plastic. Height, pallet weight and load capacity vary between models.

Check the dimensions of the specific pallet and the supplier’s load specifications. A shared footprint does not mean that different half pallets can carry the same goods.

When is a half pallet used?

Half pallets are used for smaller consignments, retail deliveries and product displays. The smaller format can suit goods that do not need the full footprint of a EUR pallet. Choose a pallet based on the size and weight of the goods and how they will be handled.
