Proper packaging for a successful delivery

Your package will be handled by both people and machines, travel in cars, trucks, and through sorting conveyors alongside other items that can be large, heavy, and bulky. It's your responsibility to package the contents in a way that ensures it can withstand the journey from the sender to the recipient. Especially if the contents are fragile, it is crucial to protect it properly.

Preparations for international shipping

Sending within Sweden is easy, but if you plan to send to countries outside the EU, you must be aware of the specific rules and regulations applicable to that country. We can, of course, provide you with advice on best practices and where to find relevant information.

Do you need a customs invoice?

If you're sending packages to a country outside the European Union, such as the USA or our neighboring country Norway, you must prepare a commercial invoice or proforma invoice for customs to approve your shipment.

The EORI number is crucial

To be able to send to countries outside the EU, you need to provide an EORI number, which is your unique registration number in the commercial invoice. Companies importing and exporting outside the EU apply for an EORI number through the customs authority.

PO box addresses do not work as delivery addresses

If you provide a PO box or postbox address as the delivery address, the carrier will not be able to deliver your shipment. It's crucial to provide the correct delivery address from the beginning to avoid any additional costs that may occur if the shipping company needs to make changes.

Prohibited and permitted goods

Sending certain types of items, including hazardous goods, chemicals, and securities, is not allowed. To protect those handling your shipment and prevent damage to other packages, it's important to be aware of what can be sent and what cannot be sent. The price for parcels with home delivery depends on their dimensions and weight, as well as the pickup and delivery addresses. With our price calculator, you can instantly see the price on the screen!

How long does home delivery take?

The delivery time is typically between 1 and 3 business days from the pickup of the package. However, it's good to know that delays can occur, even though packages are mostly delivered as planned.

How is the package shipped to my home?

The parcel is sent via road transport and passes through at least two terminals. If you want to keep track of where your package is, it's possible to track it using your booking number.

How does the notification work?

The recipient receives a notification via SMS and e-mail. If the recipient prefers a different time for delivery, he can contact the carrier at the telephone number included in the notice.
