However, if you plan to ship to other countries, especially countries outside the EU, it is important that you research the specific rules and regulations that apply to that country. If you plan to send packages to a country outside the European Union, such as the United States or our neighboring country Norway, you must prepare a commercial invoice or proforma in order for customs to process your shipment.
If you are sending goods to countries outside the EU, you must include your unique EORI number on the commercial invoice. The EORI number functions as a registration number and must be applied for at Tullverket. The application is normally processed relatively quickly, but it is still wise to apply well in advance of your planned shipment.
It is important to note that carriers cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Your package must have a physical delivery address at the company level. Please ensure that both the sender's and recipient's addresses are correct to avoid any additional costs and delays that may occur due to incorrect address information.
Certain items are prohibited from shipping because they may be dangerous to the personnel handling the shipments. Examples of such items include dangerous goods, chemicals, securities and more. To ensure that neither people nor other shipments are harmed, it is important that you are aware of what is allowed to be sent and what is prohibited.
