Of course, you want the recipient to receive their shipment in excellent condition. To ensure this, it is of the utmost importance that you pack your goods in a safe and well-thought-out manner. Your package will be subjected to stress from both machines sorting and people handling and reloading it during transport. The more fragile the content, the more protection is needed.
Sending goods within Sweden or within the EU is simple and straightforward. But if your shipment is going to countries such as Norway or the USA, it is necessary that you are well prepared and have knowledge of the specific rules and regulations that apply in the country in question. Doing this in advance is a wise way to avoid late deliveries and unexpected costs.
For countries that are not members of the European Union, a special commercial invoice or proforma is often required for customs to approve the import or export of goods. You can always contact us to get the best advice and the necessary guidance regarding customs invoices.
If you ship goods to countries outside the EU, you must include your unique registration number, known as an EORI number, on your commercial invoice or proforma. The application for the EORI number is made to the Swedish Customs Administration and is usually processed relatively quickly. It is important to apply for it well in advance of your planned shipment.
It is worth noting that shipping companies cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Your shipment must have a physical company-level delivery address. Please ensure that both the sender's and recipient's addresses are correct to avoid any additional costs and delays that may occur due to incorrect address information.
There are certain items that are not allowed to be shipped because they may be harmful to the personnel handling the shipments. Examples of such items include chemicals that may leak. Securities, weapons products, precious metals and live animals are some examples of additional prohibited items.
