Your package will be handled by both people and machines, transported in cars, trucks, and on sorting conveyors along with other items that can be large, heavy, and bulky. It is your responsibility to pack the contents in a way that ensures they can withstand the journey from the sender to the recipient. Especially if the contents are fragile, it is crucial to adequately protect them.
Sending within Sweden is straightforward, but if you plan to send to countries outside the EU, you must be aware of the specific rules and regulations applicable to that country. We can, of course, provide you with advice on best practices and where to find relevant information.
If you're sending packages to a country outside the European Union, such as the USA or our neighboring country Norway, you must prepare a commercial invoice or proforma invoice for customs to approve your shipment.
To be able to send to countries outside the EU, you need to provide an EORI number, which is your unique registration number in the commercial invoice. Companies importing and exporting outside the EU apply for an EORI number through the customs authority.
If you provide a PO box or postbox address as the delivery address, the carrier will not be able to deliver your shipment. It's crucial to provide the correct delivery address from the beginning to avoid any additional costs that may occur if the shipping company needs to make changes.
It is not allowed to send certain types of items, including hazardous materials, chemicals, and securities. To protect those handling your shipment and prevent damage to other packages, it is important to be aware of what can be sent and what cannot be sent.
